Capital C
Directed by Jørg M. Kundinger, Timon Birkhofer
Funded by 586 people from 24 countries through a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter, Capital C is the first feature length documentary dedicated to crowdfunding. Over the course of more than two years, the filmmaking duo Jorg M. Kundinger and Timon Birkhofer followed crowdfunding pioneers all over the United States. The film is centered on the inspiring endeavors of Zach Crain (bottle koozies), Jackson Robinson (hand-drawn playing cards), and Brian Fargo (video games), who cut out the middleman and changed their lives forever, with the help of the crowd. By following Zach, Jackson, and Brian, the documentary became an intimate portrait of the hopes and dreams as well as the fears and pitfalls of independent creators in the wake of the digital age.
